Leanna has 17 years of experience as an IT & Telecoms Technician. She’s originally from California and has fit in to the team very well. Here’s how our interview went:

So Leanna, what made you want to work as an IT & Telecoms Technician?

17 years ago, the company I worked for only had 2 IT technicians responsible for a very large campus over several buildings. Since the technicians were in very high demand, I started to fix computer & printer problems for everyone in my building. Within a couple of years I moved on to the IT department (Of course in those days there wasn’t a lot of us!).

I remember one time when we were managing 1000 PC’s, they all got hit with a virus. We had to physically go around to each one of them to remove it!

Tell us a little about yourself.

I’m originally from California, and moved to England 3 and a half years ago to be closer to my partner’s family. I Love to draw and paint; at the moment I’m trying to learn how to watercolour. I’m currently taking a graphic design course too.

Is Ingenio Technologies different to how you expected it to be?

Yes. extremely. Ingenio Technologies uses cutting edge technology & state of the art support tools. Previous IT departments I’ve worked in were still using older hardware and software and just moving to Office 365 & Cloud computing.

What would you like to get out of this job?

I want a place where I can grow as the company grows and be a part of its success.

What do you think makes Ingenio Technologies unique?

From what I’ve seen so far, Ingenio Technologies is very customer-centric. They are forward thinking in technology trends by staying up to date.

What’s your favourite thing about working at Ingenio Technologies?

The people and the atmosphere.

And what’s your least favourite?

I don’t know…Interviews?

You are a new addition to the crayon box. What colour are you and why?

A dark blue/grey because I love the sea.

Thanks, Leanna! Here’s to the future!
